Quality Standards
Carefully Inspected. Clearly Graded. Honestly Described.
We understand that buying a pre-owned phone online requires trust.
Every device is individually checked before shipment and matched with its order information, including the model, storage capacity, color, condition grade, IMEI or serial number and listed functionality.
Our goal is to provide clear product information, consistent condition grading and a reliable pre-shipment inspection process so that customers can make informed purchasing decisions.
Because our products are pre-owned, each device is unique. Cosmetic appearance, battery condition, previous use and component history may vary from one device to another.
Our Quality Standards at a Glance
Individual Device Inspection: Each phone is checked before dispatch
Identity Verification: Model, storage, IMEI and serial number are verified
Functional Testing: Essential device functions are tested where supported
Condition Grading: Cosmetic condition is classified using our A–D grading system
Battery Information: Battery condition is checked and disclosed where available
Account Status: Activation locks and user accounts are checked before shipment
Protective Packaging: Every order is securely packed for transportation
Product-Specific Disclosure: Known material issues are stated on the product page
Scope of Our Inspection

- Vibration and haptic response.
- Face recognition or fingerprint recognition where supported.
- Proximity and orientation sensors.
- Battery-health information where available.
- Account-lock and activation status.
- General cosmetic condition.
A feature that is not supported by a particular model will not form part of the inspection for that device.
Testing confirms the condition observed during inspection. It does not guarantee that an electronic product will never develop a fault in the future.
Device Identity Verification
Before shipment, we check the device information against the order and product listing.
This may include:
- Brand.
- Model.
- Model number.
- Storage capacity.
- Color.
- IMEI.
- Serial number.
- SIM configuration.
- Network-lock status where available.
- Operating-system information.
- Listed condition grade.
The IMEI or serial number of a returned device must match the device originally supplied.
Product identifiers may also be recorded for inspection, warranty, return and fraud-prevention purposes.
Functional Standards
Unless a limitation is clearly disclosed on the product page, the device is expected to perform its essential normal functions at the time of inspection and dispatch.
Essential normal functions generally include:
- Powering on.
- Displaying an image.
- Responding to touch input.
- Charging through the supported charging method.
- Producing sound.
- Receiving microphone input.
- Operating the main cameras.
- Connecting to supported wireless networks.
- Recognizing a compatible SIM card where applicable.
Some model-specific functions may depend on:
- Local mobile carriers.
- Supported network bands.
- SIM or eSIM availability.
- Customer account status.
- Geographic restrictions.
- Third-party applications.
- Manufacturer servers.
- Operating-system support.
A function that depends on an external carrier, application, account or third-party service cannot be guaranteed solely through device testing.
Cosmetic Condition Standards
All phones sold on our website are pre-owned unless the product page clearly states otherwise.
A pre-owned phone may show signs of previous use. Cosmetic wear is classified according to the condition grade shown on the product page.
Cosmetic inspection may include:
- Front glass.
- Display surface.
- Frame.
- Corners.
- Back cover.
- Camera surrounds.
- Buttons.
- Charging port.
- Speaker openings.
- General body condition.
Lighting, viewing angle and screen brightness may affect how scratches or marks appear.
Minor cosmetic differences that are consistent with the purchased grade are not considered defects.
Device Condition Grades
Grade A — Excellent Condition
Grade A devices are in excellent pre-owned condition and show minimal signs of previous use.
They may have:
- Very fine surface marks visible only under close inspection.
- Minimal frame or corner wear.
- Very light signs of handling.
- No major cracks or structural damage unless expressly disclosed.
Grade A does not mean factory-new or unused.
Small cosmetic marks may still be present because the device has been previously owned.
Grade B — Very Good Condition
Grade B devices are in very good pre-owned condition and may show light signs of normal use.
They may have:
- Fine screen scratches.
- Light frame marks.
- Slight corner wear.
- Minor marks around buttons or ports.
- Light back-cover wear.
- Small cosmetic imperfections visible under normal inspection.
The device should not have major structural damage unless this is clearly disclosed on the product page.
Grade C — Good Condition
Grade C devices are in good working condition and show more noticeable signs of previous use.
They may have:
- Visible screen scratches.
- Frame scuffs.
- Noticeable corner wear.
- Paint wear.
- Back-cover scratches.
- Small cosmetic marks.
- Light dents or wear consistent with normal previous use.
Grade C devices are intended for customers who prioritize function and value over near-new cosmetic appearance.
Major cracks, severe structural damage or significant functional limitations will be separately disclosed when applicable.
Grade D — Acceptable Condition
Grade D devices show obvious cosmetic wear but are sold as functional value-focused products unless the listing clearly states a functional limitation.
They may have:
- Deeper or more noticeable scratches.
- Heavy frame wear.
- Paint loss.
- Noticeable scuffs.
- Dents or body marks.
- Significant cosmetic signs of previous use.
Any known major defect, crack, missing function or special limitation should be clearly stated on the individual product page.
Customers purchasing Grade D products should expect substantial cosmetic wear.
Product-Specific Information Takes Priority
The condition grade provides a general cosmetic standard.
The individual product page may include more specific information about:
- Screen condition.
- Frame condition.
- Back-cover condition.
- Battery health.
- Repair history.
- Replacement parts.
- Network status.
- Included accessories.
- Functional limitations.
- Special cosmetic marks.
When a product-specific disclosure provides more detail than the general grade description, the product-specific disclosure should be used to understand the device.
Customers should review the entire product description, available photos and selected product options before ordering.
Display and Touchscreen Standards
Where applicable, we check the display for:
- Image output.
- Touch response.
- Visible cracks.
- Significant discoloration.
- Major dead areas.
- Obvious display-line issues.
- Screen separation.
- Abnormal flickering observed during inspection.
Minor surface scratches that are consistent with the selected condition grade may be present.
Small variations in:
- Brightness.
- Color temperature.
- Viewing angle.
- Display tone.
- Uniformity.
may occur between pre-owned devices.
Display appearance may also vary because of device settings, software settings, replacement history and normal component aging.
Unless the product page specifically states that the display is an original manufacturer component, customers should not assume that every pre-owned device has its original factory-installed display.
Battery Quality Standards
Rechargeable batteries are consumable components and do not perform like new batteries indefinitely.
Where battery-health information is available, we may provide:
- A battery-health percentage.
- A battery-health range.
- Charging-cycle information.
- A general battery-condition description.
- A notice that battery replacement is recommended.
Battery-health information represents the reading or condition observed during inspection.
It is not a guarantee that:
- The displayed percentage will never change.
- Every diagnostic method will show the same result.
- The device will provide a specific number of usage hours.
- The battery will maintain the same capacity throughout the warranty period.
- Battery performance will be identical to that of a new phone.
Actual battery life depends on factors such as:
- Screen brightness.
- Mobile signal strength.
- Applications.
- Background activity.
- Network usage.
- Camera usage.
- Operating-system settings.
- Charging habits.
- Temperature.
- Device age.
A small change in the displayed battery-health percentage after delivery does not automatically mean the product was incorrectly described.
When a specific battery-health range is stated on the product page, the device is expected to fall within that range at the time of inspection.
Battery-related warranty coverage is governed by our Returns & Warranty Policy.
Charging Standards
Where supported, we check whether the device can accept power through its normal charging method.
Testing may include:
- Wired charging.
- Fast charging where compatible equipment is available.
- Wireless charging where supported.
- Charging-port connection.
- General battery response while charging.
Charging speed can vary depending on:
- Charger power.
- Cable quality.
- Battery temperature.
- Battery condition.
- Operating-system controls.
- Device usage during charging.
- Regional voltage and power conditions.
Unless specifically stated, the purchase may not include an original manufacturer charger.
Customers should use safe, compatible and properly certified charging equipment.
Cameras, Audio and Sensors
Where supported by the model, we may test:
- Front camera.
- Rear cameras.
- Camera focus.
- Photo capture.
- Video recording.
- Flash.
- Microphone.
- Loudspeaker.
- Earpiece.
- Vibration motor.
- Proximity sensor.
- Orientation sensor.
- Face recognition.
- Fingerprint recognition.
Some advanced camera, biometric or sensor features may require:
- Specific lighting conditions.
- Customer enrollment.
- A supported operating-system version.
- Manufacturer services.
- Compatible applications.
Where a model does not support a feature, that feature is not part of its quality standard.
Face Recognition and Fingerprint Functions
Biometric functions are tested where supported and where the device allows practical testing.
Biometric performance may be affected by:
- Customer enrollment.
- Lighting.
- Screen protectors.
- Finger condition.
- Face coverings.
- Software settings.
- Previous repair.
- Replacement components.
- Manufacturer restrictions.
When a biometric function is known not to work, this should be disclosed on the product page.
A biometric function should not be assumed to be included when the product listing clearly states that it is unavailable or untested.
Parts and Repair History
Pre-owned devices may have been repaired or may contain replacement components from previous ownership.
Replacement components may include:
- Display.
- Battery.
- Back cover.
- Camera.
- Charging port.
- Speaker.
- Buttons.
- Internal components.
Where known and reasonably identifiable, material information about replacement parts or repair history may be disclosed on the product page.
However, the complete repair history of every pre-owned device cannot always be independently verified.
Unless a product is expressly described as having all original manufacturer parts, customers should not assume that every component is the original factory-installed component.
A replacement component is not automatically considered defective solely because it is not the original factory-installed part.
The relevant questions are whether:
- The product was accurately described.
- The component performs its intended function.
- Any known material limitation was disclosed.
- The product meets the applicable warranty and consumer-law requirements.
Manufacturer Warnings and Parts Notifications
Some devices may display a system notification relating to:
- Battery replacement.
- Display replacement.
- Camera replacement.
- Unknown parts.
- Unable-to-verify component messages.
- Repair or service history.
Where such a notification is known and materially relevant, it may be disclosed in the product description or inspection information.
A system notification does not necessarily mean that the device is unusable, but it may indicate that a component has been replaced or cannot be verified by the operating system.
Customers should review any product-specific disclosure before purchasing.
Network Lock and Compatibility
When a product is described as unlocked, this generally means that no applicable carrier lock was identified during our inspection or verification process.
An unlocked status does not guarantee compatibility with every mobile carrier in every country.
Customers are responsible for checking:
- Supported network bands.
- Local carrier requirements.
- SIM-card type.
- eSIM support.
- 4G or 5G compatibility.
- Carrier activation policies.
- Regional model restrictions.
- Local network shutdowns.
- Account eligibility.
Compatibility should be confirmed with the customer’s mobile carrier before purchase when uncertain.
When we specifically confirm compatibility with a named carrier or country in writing, that confirmation forms part of the product information.
IMEI and Device Status
We check available IMEI and device-status information before shipment.
A clean IMEI check means that no adverse status was identified through the information available to us at the time of inspection.
IMEI or carrier status may later be affected by matters outside our control, including:
- A previous owner’s later report.
- Carrier database changes.
- Local carrier policies.
- Customer payment or account disputes.
- Regional restrictions.
- Incorrect carrier records.
- Government or regulatory actions.
We do not knowingly sell devices identified as stolen, blacklisted or subject to an undisclosed activation lock.
Customers should contact us promptly when an IMEI or activation issue appears to relate to a condition that existed before delivery.
SIM and eSIM Standards
SIM and eSIM functionality depends on the device model, region and carrier.
A device may support:
- One physical SIM.
- Two physical SIM cards.
- One physical SIM and one eSIM.
- Multiple stored eSIM profiles.
- eSIM only.
The exact configuration should be confirmed from the individual product description.
The availability of eSIM service depends on the customer’s mobile carrier and country.
We cannot activate a customer’s carrier account or guarantee that a carrier will approve a particular eSIM request.
Software and Operating System
Where practical, devices are prepared with a usable operating system before shipment.
The installed operating-system version may change because of:
- Manufacturer updates.
- Automatic updates.
- Security updates.
- Device restoration.
- Regional software availability.
We do not guarantee:
- Future operating-system updates.
- Future security-update availability.
- Compatibility with every application.
- Continued support from the manufacturer.
- Continued access to a third-party service.
- Compatibility with future network changes.
Customers purchasing older models should consider the manufacturer’s current and future software-support policies.
Software support controlled by the manufacturer or a third party is outside our direct control.
Storage Capacity
The storage capacity shown in the product title or description refers to the device’s advertised storage category, such as:
- 64GB.
- 128GB.
- 256GB.
- 512GB.
- 1TB.
The usable storage displayed to the customer may be lower because part of the capacity is used by:
- The operating system.
- System files.
- Formatting.
- Pre-installed applications.
- Recovery functions.
This difference does not normally mean that the wrong storage model was supplied.
The device model and storage category are verified before dispatch.
Data Removal and Account Status
Before shipment, devices are checked for user-account and activation restrictions where practical.
We aim to supply devices that are:
- Factory reset.
- Free from previous-user personal data.
- Signed out of known user accounts.
- Free from an active screen lock.
- Free from an undisclosed activation lock.
Customers should set up their own secure account, password and recovery information after receiving the device.
No data-erasure process can replace the customer’s responsibility to protect information added after delivery.
When returning a product, customers must remove their personal accounts, passwords, SIM cards and memory cards in accordance with our Returns & Warranty Policy.
Water Resistance
Water resistance is not guaranteed for pre-owned devices unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Original water-resistant seals may weaken because of:
- Age.
- Normal use.
- Impact.
- Temperature changes.
- Previous repair.
- Battery replacement.
- Display replacement.
- Back-cover replacement.
A manufacturer’s original water-resistance rating should not be treated as a guarantee that a pre-owned device remains waterproof.
Customers should avoid exposing pre-owned devices to:
- Water.
- Rain.
- Steam.
- High humidity.
- Swimming pools.
- Salt water.
- Other liquids.
Liquid damage is handled according to our Returns & Warranty Policy and applicable consumer law.
Cleaning and Preparation
Before shipment, devices are prepared for the next customer.
Preparation may include:
- Exterior cleaning.
- Removal of visible dust.
- Screen and body inspection.
- Port inspection.
- Factory reset.
- Removal of previous-user account information.
- Final model and order verification.
Cleaning does not make a used device factory-new.
Very small amounts of dust or signs of previous use may remain in areas that cannot be cleaned without disassembling the device.
Accessories and Packaging
Included accessories are listed on the product page or order confirmation.
Accessories may include:
- Charging cable.
- Charger.
- Protective case.
- SIM tool.
- Screen protector.
- Packaging materials.
Unless specifically described as original manufacturer accessories, included accessories may be compatible third-party products.
Accessory appearance, brand, packaging and specifications may vary according to available inventory, provided that the supplied accessory remains suitable for its stated purpose.
Complimentary accessories and promotional gifts may not have the same warranty period or replacement value as the main device.
Product Photos and Visual Representation
Product photos are provided to help customers understand the model, color and expected condition.
The product page may use:
- Photos of the exact device.
- Representative photos.
- Manufacturer-style reference images.
- Images of another device within the same condition grade.
When exact-device photos are provided, those photos form part of the product description.
When representative photos are used, the exact placement of scratches, marks and cosmetic wear may differ from the device received, but the device should remain consistent with the stated condition grade and product-specific disclosures.
Product colors may appear different because of:
- Screen settings.
- Lighting.
- Camera processing.
- Viewing angle.
- Display calibration.
Customers should rely on the written color name and product description as well as the images.
Final Quality Check Before Dispatch
Before an order is shipped, we perform a final order-matching and condition review.
The final check may confirm:
- Correct model.
- Correct storage capacity.
- Correct color.
- Correct condition grade.
- IMEI or serial number.
- Power-on status.
- Account-lock status.
- Included accessories.
- Shipping information.
- Protective packaging.
A shipping confirmation is sent after the order has been prepared and handed to the carrier.
Secure Packaging Standards
Devices are packed using protective materials intended to reduce movement and impact during transportation.
Packaging may include:
- Protective sleeve.
- Screen protection.
- Inner box.
- Cushioning materials.
- Outer shipping box.
- Sealed shipping packaging.
Customers should inspect the package after delivery and retain all packaging when a shipping-damage claim is required.
Shipping-damage reporting requirements are explained in our Shipping & Delivery and Returns & Warranty policies.
Inspection Records
We may retain quality-control records related to a device, including:
- IMEI.
- Serial number.
- Model information.
- Storage information.
- Condition grade.
- Inspection results.
- Battery information.
- Photos or video.
- Packaging records.
- Date of inspection.
These records may be used to:
- Confirm product identity.
- Review customer concerns.
- Process returns.
- Evaluate warranty claims.
- Investigate shipping damage.
- Prevent return fraud.
The availability and level of detail of inspection records may vary by product.
Limits of Pre-Shipment Inspection
Our inspection is designed to identify observable issues before shipment.
However, a pre-shipment inspection cannot:
- Predict every future electronic failure.
- Recreate every customer usage condition.
- Test every mobile carrier worldwide.
- Test every third-party application.
- Confirm every detail of previous ownership.
- Confirm every previous repair when no reliable record exists.
- Guarantee future manufacturer support.
- Guarantee future battery performance.
- Guarantee continued water resistance.
- Eliminate all risk associated with pre-owned electronics.
These limitations do not remove our responsibility for products that are defective, materially misdescribed or protected by applicable consumer law.
Eligible issues are handled according to our Returns & Warranty Policy.

The appropriate remedy depends on the nature of the issue, available inventory, repair feasibility and applicable consumer rights.
Relationship to Our Returns & Warranty Policy
This Quality Standards page explains our inspection process and product-description standards.
Returns, refunds, exchanges and warranty claims are governed by our separate Returns & Warranty Policy.
A cosmetic characteristic that is consistent with the purchased condition grade is not normally treated as a defect.
A significant undisclosed fault, incorrect product or material difference from the description will be reviewed according to the Returns & Warranty Policy and applicable consumer law.
Our Quality Commitment
We are committed to:
- Describing products honestly.
- Using clear condition grades.
- Checking essential functions before shipment.
- Disclosing known material limitations.
- Protecting devices during shipping.
